Tobias Svensson is a Swedish composer, pianist, and sound engineer, currently based in London. In 2018, he released his debut EP 'Music For Sketches' on his own label, Sounds Fragil. Since then, he has released a digital single with violinist Hoshiko Yamane (Tangerine Dream) and signed with Bigo & Twigetti, where his full-length album 'Intersections' was released in 2020.
His musical exploration started with the recorder at the age of six, and from the age of seven, he started playing the piano.
In the early teens, Tobias explored many different genres with many different bands. In 2009, he released his debut album Ravens, a singer/songwriter record on where Tobias played the instruments himself.
Since then, he co-founded the experimental jazz quartet Jante Koltrast Jazz Kvartett together with class mates from a community college. He founded the hardcore punk band Motvilja, where he was the lead vocalist and guitarist. Motvilja was also featured on the Swedish punk compilation Turist I Tillvaron.
Together with the label owners of Transubstans Records and Anarkopunx Records, plus the drummer of Swedish hardcore band Anatomi-71, Tobias founded and played guitar in the hardcore band Stupstock.
He is also one of the founding members in Fjord, a Budapest based experimental rock/pop band.
Tobias’s musical expression has taken many turns over the years, but he always had his classical background present. The soundscape he is exploring now, is rooted in classical music with contemporary and electronic influences.
Tobias Svensson's side project Random Sketches is out in October 2022. It features outtakes, ideas, and sketches in all its forms.
Klavier Sketches, Part I can be pre-saved here.
"Felted solo piano music is not exactly in short supply these days, but I tend to see it as something there can’t be too much of in the world any more than one might say there are too many flower gardens and Svensson cultivates this little patch with skilled hands and tender care."

It's almost been a full year since Intersections was released. Which makes it a lot more exciting to announce the September release of Hopkinson 4, a 4 track acoustic piano EP.

Review by Gezeitenstrom Musikmagazin
"Maybe it's the time, late in the evening or the flickering candles that somehow sway to these melodies - the album definitely conveyed a sensual aura of meditative energy that drifts deep into one's soul.
It is sure to be listed as a reference in modern classics at the end
of the year."
